  1. Brilliant from O’Brien, but what great work from Alex Cusack as well, never mind Mooney and Johnston to finish. Proud to be Irish, and we will be at the 20/20 this time as well. Good times.

  2. Kevin O’Brien was brilliant, but I don’t think Alex Cusask got the recognition he deserved for his part in this historic win.

  3. Agreed.I couldn’t belive the Grand Slam, but that seems like a worthless rugby match because of this.

  4. i cant forget this match, very nice batting ..great
    Greeeting from Afghanistan

  5. beat england this world cup and pakistan in 07. plus the dutch beat england in the t20 wc, surely the icc will help bridge the gap between the test sides and the rest, because they deserve it

  6. Eire,is a small country,it is the country I live in.We have rugby, football,GAA,and there have been some great moments in all of those games, yet I was jumpin arond my room when we won this game.Whenever I see Anderson run up to bowl the last delivery to J Mooney,I ALWAYS mutter “Moment of history”,cus it is a moment of history in my lif.Not many peple might rember this in 15,but it will be in my head like it happened a few mins ago when we all sit down & see AU & NZ host the next WC.COME ON EIRE!

  7. Being Irish heritage this was great to watch, but you go for Australia as well obversely. Being that your Australian?

  8. As an englishman i was obiously gutted watching this but then watching the celebration scenes i was so happy for ireland…

    well deserved victory

  9. what talent. this is their best game by far. They didn’t win because they made less mistakes (like the Pakistan game in 2007), but they won it because they were outstanding. My three favourite teams are Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Ireland. They may not win all the time but boy can they entertain crowds. GO IRELAND GO!

  10. As an Irishman, i have never felt prouder than this. Even the Grand Slam isnt as good as this! Pure Awesome! 😀

  11. look @ the winning boundary !!! that england player could have stopped that, its like england gave up the game, instead of giving away 2 runs he gave away 4, who knew if someone could have taken 2 wickets and put the last irish batsman under pressure, always fight till d end !!!! england gave up completely !!
